What This Shows

The Revenue & Cash Flow Analytics section provides comprehensive insights into your business's financial performance, including revenue trends, sources, and period comparisons.

💰 Total Revenue

Sum of all confirmed and pending earnings for the selected period.

Formula: Sum of (confirmed + pending) earnings

✅ Confirmed Revenue

Guaranteed income from confirmed earnings. This is money you've already received.

Status: Payments confirmed and received

⏳ Pending Revenue

Potential income awaiting confirmation. Invoices or appointments not yet paid.

Status: Awaiting payment confirmation

Visual representation of revenue over the last 30 days showing daily patterns.

How It Works

  1. Select Time Period: Use the period selector (top right) to choose Today, This Week, This Month, or Last Month
  2. Data Filtering: System automatically filters all earnings by the selected period using the earning_date field
  3. Revenue Calculation: Calculates total revenue by summing confirmed + pending earnings
  4. Trend Analysis: Groups revenue by date to create trend visualization over the last 30 days
  5. Period Comparison: Compares current period with previous period to show growth/decline
  6. Source Breakdown: Separates revenue by source - appointments vs manual invoices

  1. Select Period: Use the period selector at the top of Dashboard or Analytics page to choose your time range
  2. Review Summary Cards: Check the 4 summary cards at the top for quick insights:
    • Current Period Revenue (with trend indicator)
    • Confirmed Revenue (guaranteed income)
    • Pending Revenue (awaiting confirmation)
    • Total Revenue (all-time)
  3. Expand Charts Section: Click to expand the charts section for detailed analysis
  4. Analyze Trends: Review the revenue trend line chart to identify daily patterns and trends
  5. Compare Sources: Check the revenue by source pie chart to see appointments vs invoices breakdown
  6. Period Comparison: Review the period comparison bar chart to see performance across different time periods

Key Metrics Explained

Total Revenue

Sum of all confirmed and pending earnings for the selected period. This represents your total income potential for that period.

Confirmed Revenue

Earnings with status 'confirmed' - these are payments you've already received. This is guaranteed income.

Pending Revenue

Earnings with status 'pending' - these are awaiting confirmation. Follow up to convert to confirmed.

Trend Indicator

Shows if revenue is up (↑), down (↓), or stable (→) compared to previous period. Includes percentage change.

What does the Revenue analytics section show?

What is the difference between confirmed and pending revenue?

Confirmed revenue is income you have received (e.g. paid invoices, completed payments). Pending revenue is not yet received (e.g. unpaid invoices, appointments not yet paid).

How do I export revenue data?

Use the Export button in the analytics section header to download CSV data for the current period. Use it for reporting, tax prep, or external analysis.
